In 2001 Jason's parent's, Connie and Richard Mead, along with his sister Janna, started C R Scrubs in Tyler, TX. In 2006, his mom's sister Cheryl, along with her husband Merle Hinkhouse, started Scrub House in Loveland, CO. In 2009 Kathy started K-Scrubs in Manhattan, KS, and Jason and Kathy took over Scrub House in 2018. They have since expanded their business with Made 4 Healers, an online store that sells custom non-work apparel to medical professionals.

Having just retired from the military, Jason became the full-time general manager of K-Scrubs and Scrub House. That wasn't easy. He quickly realized that there were no resources or guidance on how to run a scrub store, let alone two stores and an online apparel business.

Recognizing how vital mentorship and guidance are for new scrub store owners, Jason and Kathy started Scrub Store 101 - Consulting with the mission of helping other new store owners start and grow their own medical uniform business.
